I really loved this film because it is happening in Japan, and a trip to Japan, a country which had ultra-modern, is a ballad, inter sidereal in a totally different world from ours. The music is beautiful and Bill Murray is great, his gaze on the stirring ambient is irresistible humour and his crazy class makes it a partner of choice for Scarlet Johansonn. Please do not hesitate to let you disorient in Tokyo, which seems so impersonal, but that the old soul will always be found to curious visitors... This film tells the story of a boy a little simple-minded but with a big heart, whose innocence allows the developer to cross with a feigned lightness, the years 60 to 80 in the USA (vietnam War, assassination of a candidate, Hippies, Blak Panthers, Drugs, and Aids), as well as the different social environments. Tom Hanks is fantastic and the realization of Zemeckis knows how to use it with accuracy and humour of "overlays images of Forrest Gump in images archive. Not to mention the soundtrack, with its selection of songs appropriate to each era mentioned. Version censored???? There is nothing more that the version cinema. De more the cd beug regularly are making judgments on images of barely a second but it is annoying given the duration of the film.... Nothing really new at Tara! But I do not consider here that the perceived Quality of this Bluray. The Film, everybody knows about it already since a while, no? First of all the Format... The whole matter is very good (VO ST otherwise you lose the richness and subtleties of the English language, and closed captioning is unfortunate as d(all films subtitled on knowledge spread not times, poor translation ("as one of its fathers' instead of "among his peers"!), spelling errors are ineligible, vocabulary more than the poor to believe that they are illiterate, unfamiliar with the English to develop the sub-titles) so I bought the version BR of the first part (pride and préjugès) : here the image is beautiful and the shots of the countryside, parks and forests are sublîmes.. This film of Tim Burton is certainly the most poetic and the most magical that it has made. The sets are kitchs and even remember some Tati. The general atmosphere is alternately mild and severe served by an original story. Johnny Depp is an amazing character who evolves in a world cruel to him. It is a very attractive and plays this role with great emotion. All served by the music of Danny Elfman which envelope the film of smooth and sometimes severity. After reading mixed reviews on the HD master, I wanted to test it myself and I am not disappointed! My old dvd was in 4: 3 -black bars around the image - and this blu-ray is the format 1. 85, which fills my plasma screen of 127 cm, a gain of an incredible image! The image definition is good for a film of twenty years and the grain original, well this is not too intrusive. Note a very nice menu... I am so happy with my purchase, and review this movie with Julia Roberts, one of my favourite actresses, has been a true pleasure ^^. I put an hour back into the movie, a lot of chatter. I mls was hoping for a better response to the feedback. The end is nice but a little naive and too expected. Damage. I understand the disappointment of some, about the lack of vf, but at the risk of shocking, this film looks in VO!! another thing, don't rely on some news announcing a vo non-HD. the BR offers a vo 5. 1 DTS HD MA. and not a vulgar 2. 0 as advertised. it was indeed a good news. next image, this is just beautiful. (many of the details finally become visible) after there's always flaws, bonus skin of grief, not vf, and a commentary on non-ss titled. but for 20€, to have the director's cut in a packaging friendly, with the dvd, it is qd even not excessive. it is still a fine setting to do justice to this magnificent film, michael mann.Precision 3.5-Inch Reviews:
blu ray american but playable on the turntables of French audio and English subtitles!! a magnificent film, has to possess in high definition, superb image restorationMe, on the contrary, after having seen and reviewed this film, I found that the gain provided by this blu-ray compared to the dvd is huge, the dvd wasn't that great...
